Ferment It!

January 2020 

Chabot dedicated an entire night to playing with one of the best chemical processes out there: fermentation! The Bay Area fermentation community spent the evening trying yummy treats, learning how to home ferment, and getting up close and personal with bacteria and yeast. This event was complete with demonstrations, talks, boozy booch, dance floor, and laser shows. 

Shared Cultures presented the Featured Workshop with an educational Koji workshop and fermented koji golden milk demonstration. The Featured Talks highlighted leading fermentation innovators including Brian Chau (MycoKind), Elizabeth Vecchiarelli (Preserved), and Dr. Gordon Walker (Fascinated Fungi
