🔥 Try it with Shiitake Katsuobushi, Mirepoix, Matsutake Mushroom, Red Shishito Pepper Miso — each one brings a bold, balanced depth to this quick-cooking favorite.

15 minutes. Big flavor.

This miso ginger salmon is the perfect weeknight dinner — deeply savory, slightly sweet, and bright with citrus. It broils to caramelized perfection and pairs beautifully with rice and seasonal veggies.

Ingredients

  • 3–4 salmon filets (1–1¼ lbs total)
  • 3 tbsp Shared Cultures Shiitake Katsuobushi Miso
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated
  • ½ tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest

Method

  1. Preheat broiler and line a baking sheet.
  2. Pat salmon dry and place filets skin-side down on the baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the miso, maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, orange juice, and zest until smooth.
  4. Spread the miso mixture evenly over the tops of the salmon filets.
  5. Broil for 7 minutes, or until the tops are caramelized and the salmon is cooked through (opaque and flakes easily).
  6. Serve hot with steamed rice and your favorite sautéed or roasted vegetables.

To serve:

A full-flavor dish with minimal effort. Spoon over any extra sauce from the pan and garnish with fresh herbs or sesame seeds if desired.
