Miso Chocolate Bark
Miso Chocolate Bark
Serves: 3-4 people
Ingredients
- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped or chips
- 1 tsp Shared Cultures Miso of choice
- Toppings (optional): chopped nuts, toasted coconut, flaky salt
Directions
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the chocolate gently in a heatproof bowl set over a small saucepan of barely simmering water, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate onto the parchment paper and spread into an even layer.
- Dot the miso across the surface in tiny pea-sized bits. Use a toothpick or tip of a knife to swirl it lightly into the top layer. Alternatively, use a spoon to thoroughly mix it in.
- Add toppings and press them in lightly.
- Let set at cool room temp until firm, or chill until set. Break into shards.
Notes
- Miso amount: 1 Tbsp is a solid “you notice it” level. If your miso is strong or very salty, start with 2 tsp next time.
Salt: only add flaky salt if you like a real salt hit. Miso brings plenty.
