Black Garlic Miso Ramen

This is your sign to add this garlic miso ramen to your dinner rotation. It’s a simplified version that’s still packed with depth and flavor. We love that it’s fully customizable based on what toppings you have on hand.  

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz ground meat of choice
  • 4 cups broth
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • ramen noodles, fresh or dried
  • 3 heaping tbsp of Shared Cultures Black Garlic Miso
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • ½ tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 small shallot, finely minced
  • Salt, to taste

Toppings:

  • Soft boiled egg
  • Corn
  • Seaweed
  • Green onions

Method:

  1. Prepare choice of toppings ahead of time and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pot for about a minute.
  3. Add in garlic, ginger, and shallot and mix together.
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add in ground meat and a bit of salt. Stir to break up.
  6. In a separate pot, cook noodles and drain. Set aside.
  7. When meat is cooked through, add in miso and soy sauce. Mix well.
  8. Add in broth and bring to a light simmer. Stir well. 
  9. To serve, add noodles into a bowl. 
  10. Ladle broth over the noodles.
  11. Serve hot with your choice of toppings. Enjoy!
