Absolutely amazing. I have tried 2 of the misos. Both are top shelf.
The butter bean taste really shines through. It’s my favorite. I love this in miso-maple glazed Tokyo turnips, especially.
Used this miso in a no cheese pesto of cilantro, parsley, dill and pistachios plus of course EVOO. It’s a bit magical how the flavor just was there in the background making for a great pesto on fish.
Also, smeared on a toasted piece of sourdough was quite the treat!
I wasn't sure if I actually liked miso but this was awesome. Very flavorful and not as salty as I expected. I will definitely buy it again when this jar is empty.
Whenever the butter bean miso is available I'll make sure to get one. The miso is one of the milder ones in Shared Cultures inventory. I like how creamy it tastes and how well it goes in soups, salad dressings, miso butters. Next up for me is the miso basque cheese cake recipe from their website.
